Who Will Win The 2016 World Series?

Major League Baseball returned earlier in the month and so we decided to take a break from playing USA online slots and have a look at who we think will win the 2016 World Series. We love USA legal slots sites and online casinos but we love baseball too so read on for our predictions and picks as we consider the crucial matter of who will win this year’s World Series.

The season got underway on April 3, with Pittsburgh Pirates hosting the St. Louis Cardinals and whilst the season is still in its infancy, we’re starting to get an idea about how things might pan out.

There have been plenty of managerial changes in the off-season, almost exclusively at teams that we don’t expect to be anywhere near the World Series. The one exception to that was north of the border in Canada, with the Blue Jays installing former Cleveland Indians man Ross Atkins following the resignation of Alex Anthopoulos back in October.

Of course, there have been plenty of personnel changes too, as teams look to build for the 2016 season and improve on their performance last year. The one team unable to improve, at least when it comes to the end result, is defending champs Kansas City Royals. They have the tough task of winning the World Series once again and few sides have managed back to back successes, which perhaps explains their price of +1400.

The favorites at every sportsbook are the Chicago Cubs, at short odds of +700, though as short as +450 at some meaner books. The Cubs have to be respected but they aren’t for us at those meager odds.

San Francisco Giants are well fancied (+1300) as are Toronto (+1400) but in what looks a fairly open season our pick is the fourth favorites, the LA Dodgers. The Dodgers, like the Red Sox and the Royals, are hovering around the +1400 mark with a number of books and that looks like great value to us.

They have the best pitcher going in Clayton Kershaw and have invested to offer the 28 year old excellent support. With some exciting youngsters such as Joc Pederson adding a nice blend to their roster, they certainly have what it takes to go all the way, as long as Kershaw stays injury-free.

So, if you want to have a bet that will keep you interested for months, not seconds like an online slot, the Dodgers are our pick for the 2016 World Series.
